For plumbers, HVAC techs, electricians and other service trades, the van is the office, the stockroom and the first thing a customer sees in their driveway. My American Sign letters cargo vans for Northern NJ businesses with Oracal 751 cut vinyl, and we’ve been doing it since 2013.
Vans we letter
We letter all the cargo vans North Jersey trades drive, including:
- Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and other high-roof vans
- Ford Transit
- Ram ProMaster and ProMaster City
- Chevy Express / GMC Savana
High-roof vans give you tall, flat side panels, which are a great place for a large company name and phone number. Compact vans like the ProMaster City have less room, so we keep the layout simple and bold.

Where the lettering goes on a van
Sides and sliding door
The sides carry your company name, logo, phone number and a short list of services, such as “Plumbing · Heating · Air Conditioning.” We plan the layout around the sliding door, door handles and body lines so nothing gets cut off when the door opens.

Rear doors
The rear doors face traffic at every light. We put your name and phone number where they’re easy to read, working around the windows, handles and license plate.

License numbers and website
We can add license numbers, “Licensed & Insured,” your website or email, and DOT numbers if your van needs them (see DOT & USDOT number lettering).
Installed at your shop or job site
We offer mobile installation across Morris, Warren, Sussex, Hunterdon, Somerset, Passaic, Essex and Bergen counties, from Dover and Rockaway to Clifton, Montclair and Hackensack. Your van stays close to where you need it. Prefer to drop it off? You can bring your vehicle to us in Budd Lake (Mount Olive) instead. We’re open Mon-Fri 8-5, weekends by request.
Oracal 751 cut vinyl, single-color or layered
Your lettering is cut from Oracal 751, our primary vinyl, and we also work with 3M vinyl. Logos can be layered in multiple colors, like the red and blue Panko MC logo or MAKO’s logo and lettering in our gallery. When your phone number, services or branding change later, we can update the lettering and remove the old vinyl lettering.
Design preview before install
You’ll see a design preview of your van before anything is installed. Send us your logo file, or even a photo of your current sign or business card, and we’ll build a layout that matches your branding in cut vinyl, layered in multiple colors where needed. If your logo is full-color or uses gradients, we make a solid-color cut vinyl version of it. If you don’t have a logo yet, we can start with a clean layout of your business name and phone number.
