Panko MC LLC is an HVAC contractor, now based in Budd Lake. Before that, they shared a shop in Hackettstown with Panko Sheet Metal, a business run by the owner’s brother. At that former Hackettstown shop, we lettered two matching white Ram ProMaster City work vans for them in cut vinyl, on both sides and the rear. Here’s how one van went from old sign to new lettering, step by step.
Step 1: Their original logo
Panko MC started by sending us a photo of the logo sign that was on their van.
Step 2: Asking what they wanted
We asked what they were looking to do with the vans, and explained that we only do solid-color cut vinyl. That way the design would be built around what the vinyl can do from the start.
Step 3: The mock-up
We didn’t have a photo of their van, because it was always out in the field. So we found a close stock image of a Ram ProMaster City and made several design variations on it for them to review. They settled on this final design.
Step 4: Scheduling the install
The vans are working vehicles, so we scheduled the install after business hours, when the van wasn’t in use.
Step 5: Before: removing the old sign
At their former Hackettstown shop, we photographed the old sign, removed it, and then installed the new cut vinyl lettering.
Step 6: The finished van matches the approved mock-up
Here’s the approved mock-up next to the finished van. The installed lettering matches the design they signed off on: the Panko MC LLC logo in solid blue and red with arrows on the rear side panel, the boxed “HVAC CONTRACTORS / Residential & Commercial / Licensed & Insured” block on the sliding door, and the phone number 908-366-4459 in large text.
The second van got the same lettering, so the two vans match.
