Truck & Pickup Lettering for North Jersey Contractors

Your truck is parked at the job site, the supply house and the customer’s driveway every working day. Clean, readable lettering turns it into a sign that tells people who you are and how to reach you. My American Sign has been lettering trucks for Northern NJ contractors since 2013, using Oracal 751 cut vinyl, and we can install it at your shop or job site.

Pickup and work truck lettering, installed where your truck is

We offer mobile installation at your shop, yard or job site across Morris, Warren, Sussex, Hunterdon, Somerset, Passaic, Essex and Bergen counties. Whether you run a single pickup out of Mount Olive or a few trucks out of Parsippany or Wayne, you don’t have to drop the truck off and lose a working day. Prefer to drop it off? You can bring your vehicle to us in Budd Lake (Mount Olive) instead. We’re open Mon-Fri 8-5, weekends by request.

What we letter on contractor trucks

Doors

The doors carry the essentials: your company name, logo, phone number and the trade you’re in. We lay them out so the name and number read clearly from across a parking lot.

Tailgate and rear

The back of the truck is what the driver behind you stares at in traffic. A large phone number and your company name or website on the tailgate gives them something to remember.

Bed sides, dump bodies and utility bodies

Landscapers, masons and other trades often run dump bodies or utility bodies with plenty of flat space. That’s the place for a short list of services, such as “Lawn Maintenance / Snow Plowing”, so people know everything you do.

License and DOT numbers

We can add license numbers and DOT numbers to the same layout so everything matches. If your truck needs a USDOT marking, see our DOT & USDOT number lettering page.

Oracal 751 cut vinyl, single-color or layered

Your lettering is cut from Oracal 751, our primary vinyl, and we also work with 3M vinyl. Each color is cut from its own vinyl, so lettering can be a single color or layered in multiple colors to build a logo, like the two-tone green Rocc Scapes logo in our gallery. When your phone number or services change down the road, we can update your lettering and remove the old vinyl lettering.

You see a design preview before we install

Nothing goes on your truck until you’ve approved it:

  1. Call or text us at (973) 664-7695. A photo of your truck helps us quote it.
  2. We design your layout and send you a design preview showing how the lettering will look.
  3. You approve or request changes. We adjust until it’s right.
  4. We install it at your shop or job site.

Recent truck lettering

Our Projects gallery shows real trucks we’ve lettered, including door lettering for Rocc Scapes Landscaping on a Ford Super Duty pickup and a full set of door, side and tailgate lettering for Seifert’s Lawn & Yard Maintenance on their dump truck.

Cut vinyl lettering, not printed wraps

My American Sign does cut vinyl lettering and graphics only: single-color, or layered in multiple colors. We don’t do printed or full-color wraps. That focus is the whole business: lettering, logos and numbers applied cleanly to your truck.
